On May 15, 1977, I was born  to Janice and Kaiser Edmond in Atlanta, Georgia at Northside Hospital  while they attended Spelman College and Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech). Upon my father's graduation, my family moved to Florida. Most of my childhood was spent in Jacksonville, Florida where I attended Crown Point Elementary School. At the age of twelve, my father's job promotion led us back to Georgia where I attended Riverdale Middle School and Riverdale High School. During this time, I was active in cheerleading and track and participated in various clubs at my school. I was also a member of the Puritan Youth Group and Voices in Praise Youth Choir at my church, Kelly Lake Church of God in Christ. In 1995, I graduated from high school and became a recipient of a track scholarship at East Tennessee State University, where I graduated with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Biology. I currently teach in the Clayton County Public School System in Georgia.
